We help families maintain and sustain their inherited and ancestral lands.
About Us
About Our Lands
The Landberry Foundation provides philanthropic support for projects that advance family land retention and sustainable management in vulnerable communities impacted by heirs property issues and fractionation.
We prioritize projects that support African-American wellbeing and Indigenous land rights, particularly for communities of the Eastern United States.
We give grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 to support projects including land purchases, family & community education, and innovation or entrepreneurship efforts by impacted families.
The Board of Directors reviews proposals at our annual meeting in November of each year.
We focus our organizational efforts on lands within Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Kansas, and Oklahoma; however, we consider projects outside of these areas on a case-by-case basis.
